The diploma thesis deals with the analyses of food consumption influence on driver´s perception reaction time. It describes the food and drink consumption while driving, factors influencing driver´s performance, activities disturbing the driver, foreign researches and studies aimed at distracting stimuli. Practical part of the thesis is focused on driving tests of chosen driver of certain age group in current traffic, interpretation and evaluation of reaction times while driving with no distracting stimuli comparing to driving influenced by food consumption. All the data are concluded in the summary where it´s confirmed that reaction times are significantly prolonged when drivers have a snack while driving a vehicle.
Testing of Transformer Differential Protection
Judas, Jan ; Těžký, Jiří (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
My bachelor thesis deals with the protection of a transformer, the main focus of the thesis is the differential protection of a transformer, the principle of its function, stabilization and the operating characteristic. I suggested a way of measuring the operating characteristic of the protection SPAD 346 C (developed) by ABB company. As far as measurement is concerned, I used the testing device TZO3, which was, as well as the tested protection, configurated by a computer, into which the results of single measurements were put. The testing was performed via a kind of a test known as ,,TREND“ test for 3 various configurations of operating characteristic of protection and each measurement was scaled for 2 different ,,TREND“ testings. Two marginal operating characteristics were configurated and the third characteritic was configurated approximately between 2 marginal configurations . An error in the calculations of measurement was shown. Since there were two ,,TREND“ tests of steepness performed, there was a calculation of reaction time of protection conducted/performed as well.. All measured and calculated data were processed to graphs in order to illustrate differences among single measurements. I also provided explanations and calculations of possibilities of elimination of increase of electric current within reaction time of protection at steeper increase of ,,TREND“ test.
Reaction time analysis on the basis of measurements in regular road traffic
Bilík, Tomáš ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (referee) ; Belák, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with driver’s reaction time in regular road traffic. The theoretical part of this work focuses on reaction time, such as various definitions, structuring of reaction time, methods of measuring or publications made by other authors. The practical part of this diploma thesis includes proposal and realization of experiment, based on analysis of the current state by the author of this diploma thesis, which focuses on driver’s reaction time in regular road traffic (various traffic situations). At the end, the practical part presents the results evaluation based on various traffic situations or headway.
The Impact of the Structural Arrangement of a Pedestrian Crossing on the Driver’s Behavior
Šusta, Radek ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Maxera, Pavel (advisor)
This work is a result of the current state of the art and the measurement of drivers' reactions and their behavior through the eyetracker during the passage through pedestrian crossings on which the pedestrian crossed. The subject of the measurement was the assessment of the design of the pedestrian crossing and its subsequent influence on the reactions of drivers and their behavior.
The impact analysis of the technical devices used by the driver on the reaction time
Kubánek, Ondřej ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Panáček, Vladimír (advisor)
This master‘s thesis analyzes the impact of the use of technical equipment for the driver reaction time. There are described the legal requirements for the use of technical devices by the driver in the vehicle. There are analyzed the types of technical devices used by drivers and mainly discussed the issue of drivers' reaction times. They assessed factors affecting reaction time, ways of measuring the reaction time and the type of reaction times. They discussed earlier research from the beginning of the measurement of reaction times to the latest research, dealing with the measurement of reaction times when using a mobile phone. The practical part is devoted to perform road tests on a sample of drivers and evaluate their reaction times during normal driving and during a call. The measured and evaluated data are commented with respect to the benefits of expert activities in the field of transport.
Therapeutic game for reaction time measurement using the BITalino platform
Veselá, Cindy ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Hesko, Branislav (advisor)
This master’s thesis focuses on real-time detection of activity in electromyographic signal for reaction time measurement. For patients motivation there was designed and implemented therapeutic car game controlled throught the muscle activity. In this thesis were used three different algorithms for muscles activity detection in EMG signal. The best accuracy of this three methods has designed artificial network with U-Net hierarchy, which is used to segment samples into two categories - samples of signal with activity and samples representing calm. Accuracy of this method is 97 %. Later there were examined differences between groups of probands, different stimulus and the changes of reaction time over time.
Analysis of driver’s conduct during solving of situations associated with pedestrians crossing the road
Maxera, Pavel ; Kolíbal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rábek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Kledus, Robert (advisor)
The doctoral thesis analyses driver’s conduct while solving situations associated with crossing of pedestrians across the road in cases of various design of pedestrian crossings and at different conditions. The thesis deepens the knowledge of the human factor impact on the occurrence of a traffic accident involved vehicle and pedestrian and thesis also complements knowledge for the needs of the analysis of traffic accidents, especially in solving the pre collision phase and at assessment of possibilities for collision prevention by involved participants. The thesis deals with driver’s conduct, various models of the conduct as well as the thesis focuses on the visual perception, the process of information processing, the driver’s conduct and the reaction time. In terms of the solution suitable types of experiments were designed and implemented. Based on performed measurements a method of processing and evaluating data on drivers’ conduct was found as well as more significant data set was obtained for a detailed analysis of drivers' conduct in different driving situations. The assessed quantities of drivers' conduct were analysed with respect to the dangerousness of driving situations. For these purposes, the categories of the dangerousness of driving situations were defined (situations completely safe, with increased danger, dangerous and critical), into which the analysed driving situations were subsequently included. To enable the quantification of this classification of situations into the categories of the dangerousness, the coefficient of the dangerousness (so called K) was defined. From the detailed analysis of the obtained data, the limit values of this coefficient were determined, and these were subsequently verified using data from the solution of real traffic accidents. Concurrently the analysis verified the suitability of using this hazard coefficient in the analysis of traffic accidents, especially for a detailed assessment of the possibilities of collision prevention.
Characteristics of Old-Age Drivers in Terms of Road Traffic Safety
Lukesová, Dominika ; Drahotský, Ivo (referee) ; Schmeidler, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this work is to evaluate current procedures and to refine assessment of impact connected to the drivers' age and traffic accidents. The theoretical part describes senior drivers, traffic accident rate of seniors and decreased ability to drive influenced by age. The practical part is case report of traffic accidents caused by senior drivers, measuring reaction time and the evaluation of these measurements. I have developed some proposals for seniors to prevent the risk of the occurrence of traffic accidents.
Checking of the Situation Behind the Vehicle
Perničková, Tereza ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (referee) ; Belák, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the control of the situation behind the vehicle. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the knowledge about the transport system, the reaction time and the individual phases, including the factors influencing the reaction time and the possible methods of its measurement. Further, there are issues of vision from the vehicle and the rules of safe driving. Explanation is the eyetracking method, the types of these devices, and the methods of visualizing the data obtained from the records. In the analytical part are drawn from data recorded video. There are testing route, testing device, testing vehicle and information about testing drivers. The frequency and length of the individual components of the mirror views were evaluated depending on the selected mirror even without dependence from the data obtained.
